The former Cold Chain Global Forum website had a landing page at /landing/take-a-closer-look-at-the-pharma-logistics-compliance-report. Archived copies of that page were not found. This note records the report it promoted, as far as public listings allow.

Verified facts

  • Pharma Logistics IQ, which describes itself as a division of IQPC, listed a whitepaper titled “Pharma Logistics Compliance: 2018 Report”. The listing carried the date 05/03/2018 and did not say whether that meant 5 March or 3 May. [1]
  • The listing said medicine manufacturers and authorization holders needed to keep up with developments expected to shape the compliance agenda for 2018. [1]
  • The listing named these topics for the whitepaper: supply chain security and traceability, Brexit, ICH Q12 flexibility initiatives, EMA regulations, the FDA, and emerging markets and GDP. [1]
  • World Pharma Today published a listing on 11 May 2018 titled “Take a Closer Look at the Pharma Logistics Compliance Report!”. It described a whitepaper covering pharmaceutical logistics regulatory developments such as FMD, MHRA, ICH Q12, PACMP, GMP and DSCSA. The listing did not name a publisher. [2]
  • The World Pharma Today listing linked to the forum’s landing page for the report, using a tracking code beginning “16gf”. This is the connection between the old landing address and the report. [2]

Additional detail from the sources

  • The whitepaper page carried the footer “Pharma Logistics, a division of IQPC”, the same company that organized the forum. [1]
  • The link in the World Pharma Today listing pointed to the forum website’s landing address for the report and carried the full tracking code “16gf_worldpharmatoday_eb”. [2]
  • The code’s prefix matches the 16th edition, which the forum held on 24 to 27 September 2018, so the landing page was promoted in connection with that edition. [2]
  • The two listings share only one named topic. ICH Q12 appears in both, while supply chain security and traceability, Brexit, EMA regulations, the FDA and emerging markets and GDP appear only in the first, and FMD, MHRA, PACMP, GMP and DSCSA appear only in the second. [1][2]
  • The first listing framed the report as covering developments “predicted to shape the compliance agenda for 2018”, which states its intent and reports no finding. [1]

What this note does not do

It does not summarize the report, state any rule from it, or say that the two listings describe the same file. A listing is a short advertisement for a document, and the file behind it could have changed between listings. Nobody has verified who wrote the report, how long it was, or what its landing page asked a reader to do before downloading it.

Source material and scope

What exists: two listings from 2018. They agree on a 2018 date and on regulatory compliance as the subject, but they describe the contents differently (the first lists topic headings, the second lists regulations). This note does not assert that the two listings refer to the same file or version, only that they are consistent with each other.

What is missing: the report document, its author list, its page count, and any archived copy of the old landing page, including whatever download form it used. The report’s publication date is known only from the listing dates above. This site does not host the report and does not reproduce its text. Regulatory information in a 2018 whitepaper may be out of date, and nothing here is a statement of current requirements.

How this record connects to other archive pages

The 2018 promotion that linked to this report is part of the 2018 edition record, which lists the other public documents about that year. The company with a booth that year is covered in the Thirdwayv record. The landing page address in this record is one of several old addresses the site is rebuilding, and the others are covered in the agenda records for 2016 and 2017 and the 2015 programme record.

Both listings used here are also entries in the historical resource index, and the archive home links to every record.

Editorial analysis: why these topics still matter

This analysis by the Editorial Desk does not say what the report contained or state any current regulatory requirement. It takes the topics named in the 2018 listings as starting points for operational questions.

Two themes recur in the listings: supply chain security and traceability, and a set of regulatory names including FMD and DSCSA. Whatever the regulations require at a given time, traceability depends on information created where the shipment is built and handed over. The guide on pharmaceutical packout shows how product documents lead to a packout procedure, and the guide on warehouse dispatch lists the handover checkpoints, such as documents attached, carrier signature and data responsibility, where records first exist.

Labels carry part of that record. The guide on cold-chain labeling separates material fit from equipment fit and ends with scan verification, which is the step that makes a label useful as a record. Since a 2018 whitepaper may be out of date, current requirements for serialization, security or GDP should be taken from the regulator’s current documents and from the product documentation for the medicine being shipped. This note records what was promoted in 2018 and gives no guidance for current practice.

Editorial reconstruction note

This page was prepared by the Cold Chain Practice Editorial Desk from the public sources listed above. DeltaSpark and Cold Chain Practice are not affiliated with IQPC or the organizers of the former event. There is no registration and no current event, and this page is not a download page for the report. Publishers named here are historical references and are not partners or endorsers of this site.
